Pie Crust

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 1/2 cups organic all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 Tbsp organic cane sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon Redmond RealSalt

  • 8 ounces cold, unsalted butter, cut into tablespoon-size squares

  • 8 Tbsp ice water


DIRECTIONS:

  • Place flour, sugar, and salt into a food processor and pulse to combine.

  • Add butter and combine until mixture creates course crumbs with pea-sized pieces. The mixture should remain dry and powdery.

  • Add water and combine until small balls/moist clumps form.

  • Transfer dough to a clean surface and press it into a ball. It will not be smooth.

  • Divide in half and flatten.

  • Allow dough to warm for about 30-60 minutes before rolling out.

  • When rolling the dough, lightly dust the surface and the dough to prevent sticking.
