Hot Cocoa Mix

Not only is this recipe sugar free, it also contains protein in the form of collagen. This drink can help balance blood sugar and hormones, but feels and tastes like the real deal.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

  • 1 cup organic cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup organic monk fruit


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients in an air-tight container.

  2. Use 2 Tablespoons for every 1 cup of milk when making your cocoa.


You can absolutely use a different collagen powder. Vital Proteins is my favorite because it comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows, and it is flavorless. There are other brands I have tried that are of high quality but ends up leaving an undesirable flavor. Vital Proteins is easily found in most stores: Walmart, Target, Costco, and likely your local grocer. Look for it in the supplement section.


You can absolutely use another form of sweetener such as:

Cane Sugar (1:1 ratio) or Stevia (1 Tbsp:1/2 cup ratio)
